PLASTER MODEL OF THE COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL FOR THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF EÇA DE QUEIROZ

Plaster Model of the Commemorative Medal

Plaster model of the medal commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Eça de Queirós, offered by the Portuguese-Brazilian Institute for Legal Culture and Science on November 25, 1985, recalling that the writer's father was a judge at the Court of Appeal of Porto, taking part, among others, in the famous case of the writer Camilo Castelo Branco.

In commemoration of Eça de Queiroz's 150th birthday - October 13, 1995 - the Palace of Justice of Porto and the Portuguese-Brazilian Institute for Legal Culture and Science have launched a numbered, commemorative medal, by Jerónimo Pinheiro, representing two periods in the writer's life: young and old.

Via a protocol signed during a ceremony at the Court of Appeal of Porto, the plaster model of the medal was given to the Judicial Museum of this Court.

Book of Correspondence (1835-1948)

Document dated August 7, 1841, signed by Joaquim José de Queiroz, President of the Court of Appeal of Porto, father of the judge involved in the trial of Camilo Castelo Branco and grandfather of the writer José Maria Eça de Queiroz.
